Oh, Lawd, an update!

Well, gais, I'm at it again.
Visited the library the other day, and picked up quite a few good ones.
I got:
Heroes: Volume 1(The Graphic novel based off of the TV show. Pretty amazing.)
I Am America(And So Can You!)-Stephen Colbert (I've checked this out so many times, it just never gets old.)
Fahrenheit 451-Ray Bradbury(A classic, never got the chance to pick it up before. Should be great.)
Shadowmancer-G.P.Taylor( I will admit, the title hooked me.)
World War Z, An Oral Retelling of the Zombie War-Max Brooks(Sounds funny, but this guy is dead serious. He also wrote The Zombie Survival Guide.)
The Complete Stories, Volumes 1 and 2-Isaac Asimov( I highly recommend this author. I bought a copy of Earth is Room Enough at a library sale a few years back, and he is amazing.)
The Invention of Hugo Cabret-Brian Selznick.( Supposedly the best book of 08. Bout time I picked it up, I figyer.)
Tides of Darkness, A World of Warcraft Novel-Aaron Rosenberg. (The game is win, why shouldn't the books be?)
Beyond the Dark Portal, A World of Warcraft Novel-Aaron Rosenberg & Christie Golden(see above...)

So, that was my library visit.
However, I read some other books over the past week and figured I'd review them.

Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie- Jordan Sonnenblick.

It may not mean much coming from me, but I adored this book. Jordan Sonnenblick was an amazing author, and I remember frequently contemplating his age as he wrote from the point of view of Steven, the eighth-grader. This book is a rare combination of funny, sweet, and literary. Jordan Sonnenblick writes with all the pain and worry of a boy who's brother actually does have cancer, and I will definitely read any others he writes. I will be re-reading this book many a time.

Gamer Girl- Mari Mancusi.

I'm sure some of you are wondering why I read this, and I will tell you the same thing I told my friend Dylan.
It's a book.
About video games.
and girls.
That's like, three of life's most precious gifts packed into a bite-sized oreo. I know that analogy made no sense, but ignore it and read this book. It started off wonderful, it got a bit better in the middle, and by the end I was so wrapped up in it I forgot how sad it was. I could not recommend this highly enough.

Eighth Grade Bites( The Chronicles of Vladmir Todd, Book 1)- Heather Brewer.

While this book was extremely short, I greatly injoyed it. It combined satire, betrayal, and love into a story so encompassing you'll be sad when it's over. I give Heather 7 mutated thumbs-up,and look forward to hunting down the next book.

Allow me to close off with a prayer request. My mother, Sheila, has been in alot of pain lately, in dealing with Josh, our autistic child, Preston, who has Reactive Attachment Disorder, as well as Nijal. I'm not sure what Nijal has, but whatever it is, he has a very bad case of it.
It seems like everyone has been in a bad mood lately, and my mother has been the only one staying cheerful, but I can see that that is fading fast.
I'm cooking dinner tonight, mum, and for once, you're gonna be the one lounging about.

You know how I fail miserably at finishing what I start?

That's right, I pirated another CD!

This time around, its Anarchy Club, a band introduced to me via Guitar Hero.
The album is called 'The Way And It's Power'.
And it is smexy.

Tired

Have you ever had that feeling where no matter how much you relax, you're still tired? And when you hit that couch/chair/bed/park bench it just feels so good you fall asleep then and there?

Me and Wiggles call this a 'bedgasm'.

Night all

Queensryche

Well, I was playing WoW on our comp and listening to music on Ben's (Comp-jacking to avoid lag ftw) when I heard a song called Warning. I checked Pandora Radio and the song was by Queensryche, so i hit the thumbs-up button and went on. Later, I heard another song by them called Speak(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOwiuROcoFA).

Queensryche, to me, sounds as if it were a mix between Queen and Ronnie James Dio.

Isaac approves.

Hai gais

My dad has a blog, as do a few of my friends and favorite bands.
Figured I should keep up with the times. 8D
